We raise Quarter Horses with the number one goal of turning them into Reined Cow Horses. Our mares are Proven Money Winners with excellent Blood lines and we have and continue to breed them to Sires that are Champions, with proven Sons and Daughters that have also excelled as RCH.  We have reined cow horses for sale at all time.

The sires of our mares and offspring include: One Time Pepto, Metallic Cat, One Time Royalty, WR This Cats Smart, Cats Merada, Third Cutting, Very Smart Remedy, Gallo Del Ciello, Smokums Prize, Hollywood Vintage, Captain Nice, Smart Peppy Doc, & Chex That Out.

We show our horses as Open and Non Pro Cow Horses at NRCHA sanctioned events and currently work with Trainers:  Jake Telford who has our three year old in training for the Open 2017 Fort Worth Snaffle Bit Futurity; Shadd Parkinson who has our NonPro Snaffle Bit Futurity horse in training and coaches Toni during the winter months in Arizona; and Justin Bailey who starts all of our two year olds for us.

We have been very successful in the short time we have been involved in NRCHA.  We have our Supreme Reined Cow Horse mare "Just Ask Me Nice" who won several National Championships and Limited Aged Event Championships for Toni in the Nonpro.  "Justi" is one of our leading broodmares now with her first filly already a successful money winner in the futurities.  We also received the highest rating of Supreme Reined Cow Horse with our mare, Smart Peppy Doc Doll.  She has been a World Champion and a National Champion and we have a yearling by One Time Pepto out of her that we are very excited to get started in the fall.  We have had multiple National Champions, Res National Open Champions, World Champion, Res World Champions and many regional and association champions so far in our career.  We are using only our proven mares now in our breeding program and breeding to the very best stallions in the nation like One Time Pepto and Metallic Cat.

Winter Riding

During the the middle of the winter when we just can’t ride at the ranch we load up the trailers and head to Arizona for a few months to train our Non Pro horses. The last couple of years we have been fortunate to train with Shadd Parkinson of Scottsdale, AZ.  Shadd is a NRCHA Open Champion and AQHA Open World Champion.

Dan and Toni

Dan's love affair for horses started in grade school when he started going to the local riding stable and volunteering to do chores in trade for the opportunity to ride a horse.  That passion eventually evolved into riding his running quarter horse in gymkhana events while he was in high school and then into training and riding endurance horses.  He earned one of the very coveted silver Tevis Cup buckles on one of his mares and helped others to train and win in endurance racing.  Dan eventually took a hiatus from horse competition and turned his focus to training for and competing in Iron Man competitions all over the world.  I guess you could say that he likes a challenge, and when he saw a reined cow horse competition, he knew that had to be his next challenge.  He wanted to raise his own reined cow horses that would be good enough for open riders to win at their level of competition.  So with that goal in mind, his first reined cow horse hit the ground in 2006.

Along comes Toni in 2008... born and raised on a 50,000 cattle ranch on the breaks of the Deschutes River in Central Oregon, Toni grew up riding horses and chasing cows, but never participated in a reined cow horse event until she met Dan.  Toni began showing Paint horses in grade school and eventually got bored with the slow pace and decided it was time to rodeo.  She was a multiple year and event qualifier to the National High School Rodeo Finals and the College National Finals.  Her final year of college she won the College Finals in barrel racing and decided to test the waters in the Professional Rodeo associations.  That next year, she qualified to the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas riding her home raised gelding that she had won the college finals aboard.  For years Toni continued to run barrels professionally as well as train futurity barrel horses and eventually develop a nice little "boutique" barrel horse selling business with her mother, Judee.  Although she was still training and selling a barrel horse or two a year when she met Dan, she decided to give his sport of choice a try so that they could travel together and spend some weekends together.  Her first cow horse, Just Ask Me Nice, was a very special mare and together they won multiple National Championships, a Res. World Championship and received the Supreme Reined Cow Horse Award.
